That’s bullshit. You obviously don’t know history and have never been to New Mexico. My point about France and Belgium is that they were brutal, lawless and destroyed the countries they colonized.
Spain and Portugal brought laws and western civilization and christianity just like the rest of Europe did. This country is more Spanish than British in it’s colonization pattern and if you are concerned with who was here first - it was Spain and they built a civilization that still exists.
You’re arguing that the Spanish defeated in a war (unjust by many contemporaries) is the root of American culture? Ludicrous. The legacy of English invaded territories created Australia, New Zealand, Canada, The US, and even democracy in India. What kind of governments did the Spanish and Portuguese leave. the Germans, Scots and Irish were also a big part of American culture, particularly in the latter two as slave holders which is the main point, the American culture.

Well now you’re just playing the fool. Mexican culture is certainly growing, but that is a recent occurrence. Yeah, the 13 colonies, the Louisiana Purchase, the war with Mexico, the manifest destiny, the Alaskan purchase were all done by white descendants of Europe. Were there any Hispanics on the Declaration of Independence or Articles of Confederation? King is a racist punk, but the point I raised about one aspect of his quote is valid.
