McCain has no worries. Trump doesn’t go to funerals, especially if it means he misses his “executive time” power watching Fox “News”.
McCain reflected on the highlights and lowlights from his decades of public service, saying he regrets choosing Palin over former Senator Joseph Lieberman to share the GOP ticket with him in 2008.
I read the New York Times article, and what I took from it was that McCain regrets not selecting Joe Lieberman as his running mate. This technically implies that he regrets choosing Palin, but not in the way people have wanted him to for years.
Under that interpretation, I don’t regret that he chose Palin!

I regret that he did not choose Lieberman. Lieberman would have split the convention and the Republican Party. Hell, he might have even been rejected at the convention. If he got on the ticket, then the right stays home or mounts a third party challenge in the fall.
