How many times did you hear that Hillary will get us involved in another war?

Bye-bye, General. You just failed the Loyalty Test. Thanks for trying.

How many more until 25 kicks in?

Along with “WTF am I doing with my life?!”

That along with the older, experienced men wondering and seeing THIS is the way their lives and careers end. Watching the country that they swore to uphold and fight for taken down from within.

Agreed that they’re engaged in an exercise in futility, although i would argue that we’re all in much greater danger if they leave.

Generally (ha) speaking, one does not rise into (and especially through) the flag ranks without having a smart mind for politics and an understanding that the world is far more complex than any one mind can wholly grasp.

Trump claims talking is not the answer. I agree, Trump needs to STFU.

And then no one will take the job or any of the others when people resign from them and he’ll just be sitting in the oval office by himself like that picture when Pence was meeting with people about Harvey.

I think so. At this point its safe to say it is a rudderless ship.

For anyone else who was wondering what “the extortion money” was about: NYT - Trump Says U.S. Is Paying ‘Extortion Money’ to North Korea.

Trump is like some business owners I’ve known who were sitting on a gold mine yet barely eeked out a living or else ran their business into the ground because they had a compulsive need to grasp at every penny. The quintessential essence of “penny wise, pound foolish”.

I do get the impression Mattis is trying to keep us out of a war.

and the minister and I share a responsibility to provide for the protection of our nations, our populations, and our interests,

Who’s missing from that statement? Oh, the President. If the President doesn’t share those same responsibilities, and Mattis seems to think he doesn’t by not mentioning him, then the President isn’t doing his job and should be removed.

I wouldn’t read too much into that. He didn’t mention SK’s prime minister either.

Yeah they do.

I was hoping they’d do a 25th Amendment on him. Instead I think they decided to just run things. This isn’t a good solution in my opinion They weren’t elected to anything.

Trump would dearly love to launch nuclear weapons on N. Korea. He’s a damaged, hateful man whose primary emotions are anger and vengeance. He’d do it without blinking or losing a minute of sleep.

How much longer do folks like Mattis and Kelly hold on?

Mattis halting the transgender ban almost sounded like a dare to Trump to do something about it. “Do me a favor, Mr. President, fire me.”

Mattis, McMaster, and Tillerson - the top three national security people - are all openly defying Trump or ignoring him. I don’t know how it becomes more obvious that it’s rudderless, or at least that the supposed captain isn’t the one steering.

If they could get the Surgeon General to declare Trump mentally incompetent, but wait, there is no Surgeon General. I wonder…

Yeah. hahhahahahahahahaha

Considering his messaging on Houston, I expect nothing better of him. If you think of it one way, Houston or New Orleans are like soft practice sessions in the event of a Nuclear attack. A lot of the logistics are the same. You have to transport people, provide shelter, food, medical care and so on. So far, not so great.
