People who work two jobs to support their families would love to be able to quit one of them and spend more time with their family. My sympathy is with them, not some jackass who couldn’t stay at his job for nine more months.

But this bring up a point though - why in 2016 do Reps have to spend so much time in DC? Why can’t they vote remotely and do other things from their home district?

They want to get away from their home districts. You can’t carry on with aristocratic airs if you’re stuck with the rubes, er, your constituents.
Well, he IS a Teabagger, so chances are the boy was older than a fetus but younger than 12. And, knowing how despicable these motherfuckers are, there is no guarantee that the kid was alive in the first place.
