Perhaps our focus should be less on the Matt Lauers of the world and more on their immediate bosses, e.g.: producers, managing editors, and further up the line.
If no one in the organization challenges him on these issues and he’s not sensitive enough to challenge himself, what’s going to impel change?

Mary Barra should have punched Matt Lauer in his fucking stupid smug face for having the unmitigated gall to ask that question. Has the male CEO of ANY corporation ever been asked if his duties impact his ability to be a good father? The sexism that women have to put up with is just simply mind blowing.

His comment with GM CEO Barra was a ridiculous WTF comment and sexist.
His comment against Hathaay saying “Seen a lot of you lately” was NOT sexist. That was a fair comment given Ann’s decision to wear no underwear and garments that would show that.

I would have turned it around and asked Lauer if doing his job interferred with his being a good father. After all his job requires a lot of time in the studio at odd hours. He has to live in New York. Will his kids ever see grass.
