Their “female” assistant was nothing more than a beard for the all male GOP Senators but was fired by Leslie Graham the moment he realized that she couldn’t keep them safely in the closet. It’s like she was never there today. It was like she never really mattered nor did the woman who was raped.
Does that tell women in this country all you need to know about what the Republican view of our place in their universe is?

This was embarrassing. The final statement by Kennedy asking if Kavanaugh believed in God and to swear to God. No separation there. This is a job interview for the Supremes and Kavanaugh and the ‘boys’ showed they had no respect for the rule of law.

As Kavanaugh’s turn to testify in front of the committee rolled on, nearly half of the Republicans on the Judiciary Committee decided to question him themselves —or at least, to praise Kavanaugh, bash Democrats and condemn the “circus” that they thought the hearing was.
Circus? Republicans bought the tent, rented some Elephants, bought in some side acts, hired a Ring Mistress and of course, they were the clowns. They are complaining about what they created. They set this up and it didn’t go the way they wanted. The Republicans set this up and should they have to suffer for it, it’s their own fault.

The rule as I understood it yesterday from Grassley was: each Senator would get 5 minutes to ask questions. There are something like 21 members of this committee. At 5 minutes each that’s 105 minutes.Plus Kav and Ford got opening statements and 30 minutes for linch and pee breaks. That is maybe 3 hours. This has been going on for 8-9 hours now!
I think the Dems should just forget about the sexual assault bit, and go after the alcohol usage:
-He couldn’t answer how much ‘a lot’ of beer is for him, ultimately referencing a BAC chart. Anyone who drinks on any normal basis knows their limits, whatever that number is. Clearly, his number is something so high he knows that it would be embarrassing.
-He specifically said that he liked beer, but never got blackout drunk off of beer. Evasive answer. There’s a lot of alcohol out there that isn’t beer, that’s the stuff which usually leads to blackouts.
-He denied a previous comment OF HIS OWN about piecing back together a night after falling off a bus at 0400 in the morning.

Omg Oh joy, just with the other supreme court justice is want a belligerent drunk in their secret chambers. Can you imagine other judges trying to get their opinions heard with this belligerent bombastic dick as one of their equals. I don’t think so. Wrong temperament for a supreme court judge. We don’t need On the supreme court to bully what little female representation that we have in the highest quarts of the land.

He’ll answer to that and a lot more once he’s impeached as more facts and witnesses come forward requiring action by the House. His momentary mulligan by the Christian Right and the GOP appointment will be fleeting at best.
His ordeal has just begun and his daughters will be the target of every sexual predator on the planet after today’s GOP reality show indicating it’s perfectly OK to bully and abuse women. Lindsey Graham has assured that when the pulled the plug on their “female” assistant.
As Kavanaugh said, “What goes around comes around.” He wouldn’t be demonstrating his deliberate intent to be biased on the high court, would he? In anything but this Alternative Facts Trump America, would a candidate for the Supreme Court publicly state that he intended to get even with his political opponents and still be allowed to serve on the highest court of the land.
