Discussion: Manafort Trial Judge Declines To Release Jurors' Names Over Threats

“justice” loving Americans at it again. Just what is it about the Constitution they love so much?

1st Amendment? Not when it comes to my speech, they don’t want to hear what I have to say

Our system of Justice? Only when the laws apply to those they disagree with, otherwise feel free to occupy wildlife refuges and point automatic weapons at Federal agents (so long as you are a white oppressed male, otherwise you’ll get shot dead)

Democratic institutions like voting? Again, so long as you are the correct color and have a regressive mindset vote away, stinking tree-hugging liberals - move the fuck to Europe, Amirite?

I would really like to know what their vision of American Exceptionalism includes, certainly doesn’t include me. Seems like their ideal America is one that is wholly unrecognizable from the state of Mississippi

It was a reform that was started in the Los Angeles County Superior Court and spread. I remember being told about it by the presiding judge of the juvenile court. He said that it was to ensure that people would not be afraid to serve in cases against hardened criminals and gang members when their names (and addresses) were not public and given to the criminals and gang members and their friends and families.

Thanks so much. I evidently forgot.

I may have missed this, but do we know which news organizations Mr. Kelley is representing?

Oh gawd. The jurors are receiving threats. If any of these threats are the result of Alex Jones/Infowars nuts the jurors should sue Jones to kingdom come.

Ellis says he has US Marshals protecting him, too. Must mean that part of his effort to show no bias for the prosecution was motivated by threats he himself has received.

This was exactly my thought. Actually, if I was at Justice, I would already be expecting jury tampering efforts by the Russians.

Yes I wonder, if there is a hung jury or acquittal, at least this opens the possibility of a retrial due to undue outside forces such as juror or judge intimidation, death threats, etc. If so, the Trumpskyites could ratfuck themselves into the ONE way Manafort could be retried.

The judge himself has received threats, and is under security guard by US Marshals.

I think these threats are coming from Trump’s Deep Russia State!

My first question is; Do they want them released prior to decision? I did not know that could even be a thing. Especially considering the high profile nature of the case. I think it should be up to the jurors themselves, although there is probably a foia thing there somewhere.

You forgot to add that she wants to confiscate your guns so she can give them to said deathsquads.

Pauly isn’t getting any gigs like the ones he had with the Russians. He’s damaged goods. He counted on the US to keep the appearance of legitimacy. He’s now an indicted ex-lobbyist even if he squeezes a V on the gov’t case. He’s a graduate of the Abramoff school of hard knox. NEXT TRIAL !

No doubt. Righties love them some violence. Always have, always will.

If this were more clearly a mob trial they would have been.

InfoWars, Breitbart, O’Keefe.

Not true. Look several posts up for the answer and a link to its source…
