Well that should really slow things down, pissing on the people investigating you.
Remind me again who’s your legal council so that I can avoid them at all costs.
I wouldn’t use them to get out of a jaywalking ticket

Here we go again. If I investigate one for robbery and find something unrelated, like a murder weapon, I can’t investigate and charge for murder. Trump admin logic.

In a related story, Manafort sues “motherhood” claiming that it has also exceeded its authority and too is deliberately vague.

Once again, we’ve all learned something that not many people know. I can speak only for myself, I suppose, but I was unaware that the DOJ and its top officials were allowed to prosecute only some Federal crimes, specifically, the ones that my client hasn’t committed. Works out really well for my client.

This suit will last about a minute. A New York minute.

Don’t look in that closet!

Seems to me that that argument didn’t save any of the people prosecuted in the Whitewater Investigation.

I’ve seen pro se sovereign citizen suits arguing that the court lacked jurisdiction because the flag in the courtroom had yellow fringe with more merit.

It’s even more extreme than that. If the police obtain a warrant to search someone’s house for illegal drugs, and they walk in to discover a dead guy in the middle of the living room floor with a knife sticking out of his chest, they’re required to avert their gaze.

Work it up the ladder to SCOTUS…and voila! You can bet that’s what he has in mind.

If he can enjoy his ill-gotten gains, he’ll just have to burn through them with the help of his lawyers. Speaking of which, can’t Mueller freeze Manafort’s accounts?

This is what is called “manufacturing your appeal issues.”

The goal here, clearly, is to try to run this up the court system and, they hope, land in front of conservative hack judges who will go along with rewriting the universe to suit Trump’s needs.

Reading r hard:

§ 600.4 Jurisdiction.
(a)Original jurisdiction. The jurisdiction of a Special Counsel shall be established by the Attorney General. The Special Counsel will be provided with a specific factual statement of the matter to be investigated. The jurisdiction of a Special Counsel shall also include the authority to investigate and prosecute federal crimes committed in the course of, and with intent to interfere with, the Special Counsel’s investigation, such as perjury, obstruction of justice, destruction of evidence, and intimidation of witnesses; and to conduct appeals arising out of the matter being investigated and/or prosecuted.

"“The investigation of Mr. Manafort is completely unmoored from the Special
Counsel’s original jurisdiction to investigate ‘any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump,’” Manafort’s lawsuit said, quoting the appointment order Rosenstein issued for Mueller."

Doesn’t have the facts. Doesn’t have the law. The only thing left is the table.

Pound away, jackass.
