Discussion: Manafort Denies Mueller's Witness Tampering Allegations

In fact, nothing in the Release Order bars Mr. Manafort from communicating with others, whether those individuals are possible witnesses at his trial or otherwise.

Was that wrong? Should I not have done that? I tell ya’, I gotta plead ignorance on this thing because if anyone had said anything to me at all when I was indicted that that sort of thing was frowned upon, you know, ‘cause I’ve known a lot of crooks and I tell ya’ people do that all the time.

Always enjoy how Rachel pulls all the threads together so feebs like me can understand what is going on. Thanks for sharing… these clowns are a bunch of idiots being played by their russian masters. I can’t stand it.

Don’t you know? Manafort always breaks into his best Gene Kelly dance impersonation after issuing incriminating denials. The photo just captured the opening step of “Singin’ in the Drain!”

Hahahahahaha

Look at “Nathan Detroit” dancing off the curb without a care in the world.

Ohhhhh. Shocking. A crook caught dead to rights denies it. What a surprise.

I was a scientist and I trust that the evidence I would follow, were I picked to be on that jury, would back up the personal opinion I have of you, Paulie.

Bring a tooth brush to court, Paulie.

It’s interesting that every denial is a projection of what actually happened. My guess is that seasoned prosecutors are saying “Good grief, people, that’s what they do.”

So all that stuff about “Manafort better bring his toothbrush” was nothing? He’s still out on bail?

Biggest irony of all…Manaforts entire adult life consists of “heavy handed gamesmanship” including this pathetic response to Muellars request of the court.

I don’t care if Manafort rolls or not. If he doesn’t go to prison for at least the amount of time typically given for treason (20+ years), then we don’t have a Justice system.

BTW, you can’t take anything from the outside to the inside. I’m sure “bring your toothbrush etc are jokes, but you’re stripped of everything besides your freedom and dignity. If he’s sentenced to more than 5 years, he goes to low/medium security (depends on “available” space, and no you don’t get a choice). 20 plus is usually maximum security. Fed camps are not country clubs, but at least you’re not chained during transfers within the prison, or up for counts every 2 hours.

Yeah, his opposition says his bail conditions do not forbid him from contacting people even potential witnesses. However, everyone’s bail conditions forbid them from committing further crimes while on bail release, and witness tampering or corruptly trying to influence them just so happens to be a crime. And a grand jury agreed and issued charges. So, of course he and his lawyers can and are gonna say whatever they want. I liked the resort to the word “conjured,”

The hearing isn’t until next Friday, the 15th. Yesterday was just when Paulie presented to the judge his side of things.

The 15th is when he needs his toothbrush.

Let’s also be quite frank. Apparently Paulie not only contacted these colleague/witnesses, and told them how to give testimony in the upcoming trial, but he did it through encrypted messages, which shows intent to hide them.

Old guy facing a long sentence. Has lots of money. Lots of foreign contacts who can arrange protection. A co-conspirator sitting in the Oval Office.

I’d say flight is inevitable.

That was my thought. I hope the feds are watching him very closely this week. How much does Manafort have to lose by making a run for it between now and next Friday?

Oh, OK … tear up the indictment, then. Paulie says he’s innocent.

I hope he has a food taster + a body guard so the Russians (or trump people) can’t get to him
