Discussion: Man Who Shot At George Zimmerman's Vehicle Found Guilty Of Attempted Murder

Unless the windows were lowered or the windows were shot out, Zimmerman wouldn’t have had ringing ears. The windows were probably lowered so that is how the gun was seen.

Fla. Tourism PR - Visit the Sunshine State. Come to see Disney’s Mouse and stay to watch justice stand on its head." Really, they have no idea what they are doing.

Florida is the land of selective prosecution. The laws are worded so terribly that you could shoot at just about anyone and not be prosecuted. If someone flashes a gun then for sure I’d be in fear of my life.

I’d come down hard on this guy, no mercy : TWO full months of target practice.

Granted this person is responsible for his own actions, but it seems too many people in Zimmerman’s orbit end up suffering. Either shot dead, imprisoned, or victims of domestic violence.

Actually similar to Trump’s dignity wraiths in a sense. No one leaves Trump’s orbit whole either.

So, why are we still giving headline coverage to Zimmerman? C’mon TPM, if I want tabloid news I can go elsewhere…

File this under: IRONY.

As pointed out in the next comment, because of the irony. George Zimmerman can shoot someone who did not flash a weapon after seeing the person walking down the street and getting out of his car to chase and confront the person under the Florida Stand Your Ground Statute. But a person in his own car threatened by George Zimmerman in the extension of his home that is his car was unable to avoid the same fate under the same theory.

If he’d seen a gun through an open window Apperson’s lawyer probably would have brought that up. Or maybe he did, in which case only reporting the defense’s argument is oddly incomplete.

The only thing Apperson is guilty of is being a bad shot.

Floridians and their goddamn guns and Zika— two good reasons to stay the hell away from the state.

Well, HuffPost has a similar story today that features Zimmerman’s photo at the top and none of the convicted murderer anywhere. Now that’s tabloid style coverage!

This is the best comment here. I agree. Too bad he missed. Seems to me anyone near Zimmerman in Florida would have the legal right to kill him, like any rat (although rats are far more respectable creatures that Zimmerman and are useful in the ecosystem). After all, Zimmerman is obviously a maniacal threat to all life, and would deserve to be killed all the time, everywhere. He will be, just not yet.

Add to those reasons to never enter Florida is the fact that most of it will be ocean front property, which is already happening around Miami and elsewhere. Then add in the fascist state of Florida’s state government, and what more reasons do you need to avoid ever going there again?

Someone should have hung the jury.

If you want to know abut the real Florida read Carl Hiaasen’s books.

I personally have endorsed Clinton Tyree for president for the past three election cycles.

The one caveat is make sure you kill your victim so that can’t testify against you.
