Discussion: Man Indicted For Burning Cross In Front Of Interracial Couple's House

Unlike conservatives, we prefer to let law enforcement authorities do their jobs.

We don’t have to make up for our “shortcomings” by always waving guns around.

Was wondering if your posts are more coherent when you’re on your meds.

These are all federal charges. I doubt that burning crosses is against the law in Tennessee. Just a guess though. In any case, this is the third of the conspirators. The other two have already been convicted (having pleaded guilty) of similar charges: http://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/2013/December/13-crt-1360.html. Clearly, DOJ considers these “hate-motivated crimes” even if they aren’t prosecuted as hate crimes.

That was my first thought, “Chief Justice Roberts, ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION AT ALL?”

Maybe; POSSIBLE; it is the South. But I put the odds on your hypothesis behind the excuse being ‘It was a JOKE! Damn Yankee libruls got no sensa humor.’

I know a better place they could put a burning cross.
Hint; the sun doesn’t shine there.

So wait! It’s illegal to racially harass anyone in Tennessee? Like a law or something?

Dayum!! Next they’ll be asking to let women vote too?

Not even the tip of the iceberg as they say. Even people from other states that moved or retired here are subject to the very closed minds of the original family inhabitants of this state.
Very close to the 1960’s style. What gets me is while driving,a true Tennessean, which never learned life exist outside there vehicle, does something really stupid then when you call them out on it they say"god bless you". Had it happen numerous times, especially in parking lots. What’s up with that??? lol

We have to be fair to Roberts. When he said “the way to stop discrimination on the basis of race is to stop discriminating on the basis of race”, he indicated not that he thought racism didn’t exist, but instead the much more profound notion that people will no longer be discriminated against on the basis of race if people no longer practice discrimination on the basis of race.

Hey, man, you don’t talk to the Chief Justice. You listen to him. The man’s enlarged my mind. He’s a poet warrior in the classic sense. I mean sometimes he’ll… uh… well, you’ll say “hello” to him, right? And he’ll just walk right by you. He won’t even notice you. And suddenly he’ll grab you, and he’ll throw you in a corner, and he’ll say, “Do you know that ‘if’ is the middle word in life? If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you, if you can trust yourself when all men doubt you”… I mean I’m… no, I can’t… I’m a little man, I’m a little man, he’s… he’s a great man! I should have been a pair of ragged claws scuttling across floors of silent seas…

Further proof that the one-toothed, slack-jawed sisterfuKKKing white “supremacists” are anything but.

Wow, arrested and charged with a crime in Tennessee that didn’t involve teaching evolution or practicing dentistry.
I’m sure these good ol’ boys are fine Christians all, if their beliefs are true there will be plenty of fire in their future.

Under the W. Bush administration the charges, if any, would have been left to the state. Outcome: three civil citations and small fines for violating the local burning ordinance.

If TN is a “Stand your Ground” state the home owner could shoot these scum, couldn’t they?

Flanagan later issued a press release stating, “but I’m not a racist, and YOU are the REAL racist for bringing race into this! Can’t a white man burn some wood in America without some race hustler making a federal case out of it? FREEEEDUMMMMB!”

And he is a Republican…Freedom and Liberty …Yeah Right

I would think that a very dangerous course of action.

Why isn’t cross-burning protected by Our Constitution™?? Tyranny!!!

Yeah, my grandmother lived in Minor Hill for the last 60 years of her life. It’s very small, population definitely under 700 people = everyone knows everyone and nowhere to hide.

Our Supreme’s tell us money is speech, maybe fire is too, eh?
