The way things have gone lately, I expect that this guy will turn out to have run some sort of influence-peddling scheme among upwardly mobile hitmen on behalf of several foreign governments offering access to the president.

I know people in Santa Rosa whose house burned up, so I guess you can count your blessings a little bit. Wonderful part of the world but they don’t give it away. When you think of how we could live on what we make if we lived, say, two hours outside Little Rock, where things are cheapey cheap, it’s kind of wild. But I like where I live too, so there’s that.

I do count them, and my currently stable situation enables me to save and travel, and to donate time and some funds to liberal political causes/campaigns.
Good to hear you’re happy where you live. Lots of great places in the USA to relocate to retire, but I’ve lived most of my life in San Francisco or Berkeley and other East Bay cities and find it hard to move.
Guess I love the ocean, climate, and deep blue political environment too much to leave.
