Excellent use of the Gap Year concept - there will be a night & day difference between stepping onto the Harvard campus in Fall of 2016 as the daughter of the current President vs doing it in the fall of 2017. If she went this coming fall, the attention & spotlight would be smothering.
Under law, they lose protection once they become adults and their father is out of office.
However, Bush signed an executive order extending coverage for the twins once he was out of office, and Bill did the same for Chelsea.
So its really up to the President…and given how Obama is about his daughters, I strongly suspect he will also extend their coverage.

Hey now how long has some of our fine citizens held a grudge about that little thing called the War of Northern Aggression? Have they moved on from that? The Civil War lasted 4 years and President Obama has served 8. Besides these same fine citizens seem to have no problem with hating multiple targets for many, many years.
I was pleased to hear the President speak about the importance of facts last evening and I hope the next President can build on that simple element of free expression within the framework of securing the digital infrastructure to ensure every child can grow with access to the full wealth of human accomplishment and ongoing discovery…
