Yep, for democrats the standard is typically “can it be twisted to look bad”, and for republicans it’s “call me after the conviction survives appeal.”

Bull! Bill Clinton again demonstrated that he is a really stupid, self centered, mentally deteriorating man. He had to know that his action was 100% wrong, and he still did it. Hillary should have sent him to live in the dog house from that point on.

So, we’ve seen how much and in what way the tarmac meeting was talked about. We’ve seen how much and in what way the Trump Tower meeting was talked about.
One meeting involved topics like Phoenix, golf, their travels and grandchildren.
The other meeting involved treason.
… I have to conclude we’ve lost a healthy sense of proportion. It sucks.

Because Democrats are guilty of everything, while Republicans do no wrong. This meeting was trivial, but media used this as an opportunity to bash both Clintons. Will we ever find out who was leaking to Giuliani? I doubt it, never mind optics.

Jesus, Christ, can’t Bill Clinton just go the fuck away now? He has no sense and no self control, and he just blunders around, making shit for everybody around him. We already know Lynch didn’t do anything wrong, but because he blindsided her this way, she didn’t have the presence of mind to tell him to get lost, and so she had to deal with all this bad press for months now. It didn’t help his wife’s campaign any either.
I’m not a violent guy, but, jeez, if I had been Hillary Clinton after this, knowing how the press leaps on any little thing to dump on her, I swear, I would have beaten him to death with a copy of My Life.

I’m prone to “whataboutism” myself. This looked terrible. Bill Clinton seems to have a duality about him. On the one hand, he is Hillary’s husband. On the other, he is a former POTUS.
The former POTUS went to see his old friend, why would anyone have a problem with that? Hillary’s husband wasn’t on that plane, just good old boy former POTUS Bill Clinton.
He doesn’t understand that the two are inseparable. It’s a problem in this instance. Oh, to be back in the day when optics and proper etiquette were the political battles we fought!
