Discussion: Loretta Lynch Has The Votes To Be AG, But Will McConnell Give Her A Vote?

No.

As usual, you’re having one of your purity-troll dreams.

Every time I read this, as a KYian I just have to laugh because it’s so deeply divorced from reality. That was a no-win situation for her. The only way she could’ve given a more unpopular answer is if she’d said she voted FOR Obama. If she said she didn’t vote for Obama, she’d have been tarred and feathered for that too. I know of not one single KY Democrat who didn’t vote for her because of the way she answered that question. In fact, I’d wager that we understand it better than anyone else.

ALG, running as a Democrat couldn’t even say whether she voted for the president or not? She blinked big time and it cost her credibility and votes. It was the low point in her campaign, a girlie girl moment for sure.

Or Boehner.

Why not? What has he got to lose?

I guess this latest debacle just hasn’t become embarrassing enough for the GOP yet. They must want to do the full monty before they cave and scurry back under their bridges.

Purity-trolling? HSBC, Europe’s largest bank was caught supporting terrorism by admittedly moving money for supporters of Al Qaeda and Hezbollah and , for at least six years, laundering money for the world’s most notorious Mexican drug cartels.

And not one banking executive went to jail or was fined individually. Like Holder, she sided with the banking institutions that run this country. Purity-trolling? That’s the best you got? Pathetic.

McConnell has always been hateful.

Amen my fellow Kentuckian.
United We Stand Divided We Fall.

Not that it’s any surprise, but the GOP has again shown its hand in how it would govern if it were actually in power. In short, the votes of the House and Senate don’t actually matter, because the leaders of said chambers simply won’t allow a bill to come up if they don’t like it. Boehner led the way, and now McConnell is copying his playbook. In the meantime the work of the American People is derailed to a siding simply because they can’t stand the idea of a Black Man in the White House. They’d much prefer to spend money (without any revenue source) to go to war and send our troops into harm’s way yet again than give any credit to the President for negotiating some form of peace.

True. Pandering to the base is the underlying disease. Poisoning every piece of legislation is just the symptom.
