PM May has put all her eggs in the basket of a speedy post-Brexit trade deal with the US, so she wonā€™t break with Trump. Itā€™s absurd and horrible, like watching a train derailment in slow motion.

[London Mayor] Sadiq Khan said Sunday the U.S. president should not get VIP treatment when he comes to Britain later this year because of his "ban on people from seven Muslim-majorities countries" and his decision to block refugees from entering the United States.

Trump should be advised not to incur the wrath of Khan.

Canā€™t Great Britain ban possible terrorists from entering the country?

I think the Londoners might be ready and willing for a strong protest should they roll out the red carpet for Trump and Coā€¦ And they are good at mocking, which will take the air out of Trump in a big way.

I say send donnie on a world tour of speaking engagements. Let the rest of the world see how stupid Americans are.

Sadly we have to accept visits from the odious Nigel Farage.

I dislike Nigel almost more than I do Donald.

The headline here is misleading. The article says that Khan wants there to be no state visit. Thatā€™s completely consistent with Trump actually visiting, and doesnā€™t mean Khan wants to deny him visiting. State visit is a very special honour, that isnā€™t given to most visiting leaders, and really shouldnā€™t be given to Trump right now. But he should be able to come to Britain; heā€™s the leader of an ally.

let him go to his golf course in scotland. he can yell from there.

I read that the government is talking about a visit that doesnā€™t include much time in London. They fear protests numbering a million or more if he spends much time there.
I also read that they are considering having it during the time the Queen is staying at Balmoral - if he does get a visit with her. Itā€™s more isolated and protests there might be smaller.
Iā€™m proud of the London Mayor - they will be showing/having its UK opening of that Oscar nominated film (Iranian director) in Trafalgar Square this week and now this!!!

The Brits would be smart to deny entry to Chiselinā€™ Trump. After all, heā€™s a known sexual predator of underage girls and a known sexual assaulter. They should not allow his transnational criminal cartel to expand its operations to England.

umm, maybe an alt ally since trump is allied with putin first - and maybe last ā€¦

Nigel was a partner at that odious firm Drexel Burnham Lambert ā€¦ just like Donnieā€™s Lord Inquisitor and Executioner Steven Feinberg.

Washington is only delaying the UK visit so Steve-O can behead our disloyal disrespectul IC and Nigel can snuff out the British agent who found out the Presidunceā€™s ā€œpee peeā€ protocol

@honeybadger the only thing I see coming from a Trump World Domination Tour is that Donnie and Donut Boy (Keith Schiller) will get to see a lot of shoes flying towards their heads lol

While I generally (rabidly?) abhor Hair Furorā€™s haphazard ā€œleadershipā€ style, I think we can agree that following his lead on this would be lovely: donā€™t make the decision until he is in the air and most of the way to the UK. After he lands make him languish in immigration. Extra points if they can separate him from his lawyers for hours on end.

If the visit is months from now, think how many more things Bannonā€™s Boy will have done by then.
