Leads me to wonder what TPM will do after the end of this administration.
I’m happy for Josh that he’s getting new Prime members, but I won’t be one of them any time soon until they truly fix this awful system. I know he wrote earlier that the tablet format was still being revised, but that doesn’t address the fact that the comments portion on the tablet still takes forever to load, if it does at all. I often have leave the site and come back just to get to the responses.
Other sites can figure out how to balance what they report. Why not here?
The editorial policies here have always been my biggest complaint, and still are. I know he mentioned a long time ago that he thought there was value in having a tabloid element to the place. I disagree, but he still seems to feel that way.
If I wanted a tabloid element, I’d read the New York Post.
I come here for serious, comprehensive reporting on the political environment - the entire environment, not just the salacious stuff. The reporting on the Manafort trial, for instance, was a daily must-read.
But reporting on Twitter accounts? If I wanted to know what was on Twitter, I would have a subscription. I don’t. There’s a reason. I don’t need all that nonsense in my life (I do Facebook for a variety of reasons, including my farm in CT, my kids and grandkids, and my high school and college friends across the country that I don’t get to see daily).
How can I have a talking point on a topic that is never covered here? Sort of defeats the title of the site, doesn’t it?
I’m thinking that LIndsey is feeling really grateful that light there’s a light at the end of this tunnel, now that John’s finally passing.
He no longer has a single human being to hold him morally accountable for his complicity in this Mob takeover of our government. He can now sing the praises of Trump and assist with the coup freely, unhindered by his friendship with someone who clearly has acted as his conscience for so long.
Although, Lindsey’s newfound coziness for Trump and his ill-gotten Presidency may not actually be Lindsey doing the bidding of the Russian Mob and the Koch-Dominionist factions that helped he himself maintain his Senator’s seat.
It could be one big Qanon-style deep state sting operation in which Lindsey is a White Hat who maneuvers well enough to infiltrate the Trump administration by becoming Session’s successor as AG. After which he turns the guns on the whole cabal and puts them all in Federal Prison, thus saving the Republic and the Free World from a tyrant.
Or…he’s just a mealy mouthed weasel who’s being squeezed to pay back his benefactors or else.
I think one of the enduring images of the Dixie-GOP’s 8 Year Hissy Fit about our African American President was that of weekend National Guard Colonel Lindsay Graham becoming John McCain’s sidekick as “military” expert in the mostly Chicken Hawk GOP political class. But yes, as John McCain’s faithful parrot and sycophant, I want to THANK his WIFE and DAUGHTER and STAFF … for all their support during his cancer…he delegated that task to ME…

Ah well, I am expecting Trump to flame out shortly, despite the predictions of months and so forth. Maybe McCain will out live this §residency. He might be tough enough to do it.
Are you sure he was representing them and wasn’t just a customer? Or perhaps both…addicts will have withdrawal symptoms, something understood by any competent pusher including the people who run Perdue Pharmaceutical, and they exploit it to get further favors.
