Discussion: Lewandowski Says ‘Drain The Swamp’ Is At ‘The Bottom’ Of Trump’s Priorities

Trump has been draining the swamp … and refilling it with a cesspool laden with floating turds.

“Look, it’s amazing,” Lewandowski replied. “If I open a small business, I’m a bad guy. If I go inside the administration, I’m a bad guy.”

Dude, you don’t need an “if.” Face it, you’re a bad guy.

“Look, I think if you had to put them in a chronological order, ‘drain the swamp’ is somewhere down at the bottom,” Lewandowski replied, before listing a series of policy goals including creating new jobs and fixing bad trade deals.

And, coincidentally, creating new jobs and fixing bad trade deals will be accomplished by schtupping Trump’s rich cronies! This, of course, is an approach that has worked so well in the past. Too bad all of us have to pay for the gullibility (and that’s being charitable) of Trump’s supporters.

Drain the swamp is just the same Orwellian double speak that the Repugs and Frank Luntz have been dishing out for years

Save the forest
Clean water
Robust economy
Small business
Job creators
Religious freedom
Death tax

You name it, they have taken the word, skinned it, turned it inside out and shoved it on a roasting spit

Edited to add: almost forgot liberal media

Just something he said, y’know, to connect with those blue collar white people who see their share of the pie shrinking and need someone to blame. It’s what he does. Connects with people.
What he says is not intended to be factual statements.

These people. Sheesh.

Corey Lewandowski tries squaring the circle, not very ably: “So draining the swamp is a larger narrative but what it’s really about is putting people back to work.”

All righty then. Lock Her Up meant a yuuuuuge infrastructure plan. The Muslim ban was really about educational reform. “Mexico sends us their rapists” meant simplifying the tax code. The Wall was a way of saying that people won’t be dying in the streets under DJT’s great health care plan. “He’s not a war hero because he got captured” means spending federal funds more efficiently. “Blood coming out of her wherever” means a much stronger national defense system. “I could shoot people and I wouldn’t lose voters” is DJT’s way of describing how he will provide media access. “I’d bring back a hell of a lot worse than waterboarding” is how to say that the economy will grow 4% a year with so much deregulation you will get tired of winning. And drain the swamp was about putting people back to work. Makes sense. Doesn’t it?

Is this what’s meant by taking the Orange Leader seriously but not literally?
