PricelessâŚ
Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, South Carolina and West Virginia
Not to let Texas and Nebraska totally off the hook, but man, that is one august set of deplorables.
The phrase âno standingâ is about to become a drinking game.
States have no say in immigration programs. None. Zero.
Racists demand their wishes be honored. No need to make it sound any nicer, not in the era of Trump.
If they want to stand for it proudly, Iâm more than happy to toss it right back at them, I rather hope the Republicans choke on it for the next several generations.
So, they are suing the federal government to get an injunction from a federal court to stop it from doing what 3 federal courts have ordered it to keep doing.
Who put the acid in my tea?
Punks. An attorney general ought to understand the concept of simple justice and decency.
Oops.
Thanks, I needed that.
Whatâs the Take Care Clause? I donât remember that from my Con Law class.
I could do without any acid for the duration. But I think while Two Scoops is in office, medicinal opium should be the law of the land.
Thatâs where you say bye bye, DACA kids, take care, youâre going to live in a new country forever see ya wouldnât want to be ya.
However, while the attorneys general from Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, South Carolina and West Virginia sued on Tuesday,
âA Pat Morrissey tweet/release about how this suit is better than âCocaine Mitchâ in 5,4,3,2â
Just looked at the complaint and Paragraph 12 reads as follows:
If ever there were a violation of the Presidentâs duty to âtake Care that the Laws be faithfully executed,â U.S. Const. art. II, § 3, this is it. The Executive unilaterally conferred lawful presence and work authorization on otherwise unlawfully present aliens, and then the Executive used that lawful-presence âdispensationâ to unilaterally confer United States citizenship.
Arizona v. United States, 567 U.S. 387, 435 (2012)
Yes, I agree that the President violated his duty to take care that the laws be faithfully executed. But it wasnât by President Obama in 2012. Its by the current POS in the Oval Office who is violating that duty every damn day.
Not only do the states have no standing, they also have to prove an injury. Besides their fee fees, what inury have these people suffered? They canât claim increased crime, because Dreamers are involved in criminal activity and are more likely to be employed or in school. After all that Roy Moore stuff, youâd think Bama would welcome law-abiding people. Texas? Didnât Ken Paxton get INDICTED on fraud charges?
I just canât say how much I agree with this. And @tena is Italy-ing, but Iâm going to say she agrees. Too.
But, but, but, Messikins! In ar states! All brown ânâ in gibberin their jibber-jabber.
Donât forget the calves and cantaloupes!
With a collective IQ of room temperature, in the dead of winter, when the furnace is on the fritz.
You are really harshing their economic anxiety.
