Just so ya know – Churchill did say harsh things about Islam. Snopes.com gives a TRUE rating to this remark:
How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy.
But note, he is saying that fanatical frenzy is like hydrophobia in a dog. Yes, there is fanatical frenzy in some Muslims. Also in some Oklahomans.
Houdini-like contortionists in the MSM (e.g. “How do we portray a regional Cult as a legitimate political Party?”) will be increasingly forced into pretzel-like configurations.
The people who run the MSM will direct this narrative…and those of us who observe these kinds of things will be treated to a seminar on the power of money in squelching accurate portrayal of this Cult.
It’s a picture of Lewis Hayden, apparently, an abolitionist born in 1811.
And while the court case might arguably be the first civil case about slavery in Virginia, it certainly wasn’t the first appearance of slavery in the colonies. They had slaves at Jamestown.
“…She probably has no clue (idea that what she was posting was wrong).”
FIFY
“…and Muslims and blacks were responsible for slavery.”
WTF! Victims of slavery have only themselves to blame!!?
Such a cause and effect analysis is no different than saying "Muslims and blacks are the cause of Carol Hefner’s stupidity, wackiness (insert appropriate adjective here).
Oddly her FB page seems to have disappeared. I’m guessing she isn’t willing to stand behind her beliefs when people actually know about them. Sounds like a typical Trump supporter to me…all noise until somebody starts asking the hard questions.
Has anyone mentioned that the RWNJ meme about the “first black slaveowner” is not only “mostly false” but that when the man died his land was claimed by the crown because since he was black he couldn’t legally own land?
However it might be of interest to note that in 1670, when Johnson died, a court in Virginia ruled that, because “he was a Negro and by consequence an alien,” the land owned by Johnson (in Virginia) rightfully belonged to the Crown meaning that because he was a negro he did not have the legal right to own property to begin with
