Jay Ashcroft for MO said he would hand over some info.
As of noon yesterday, IL said it hadnât received the request letter. Apparently thereâs been a lot of voter pushback saying send nothing. Iâm hoping the lawsuit will give the state pause, and lead to an eventual full refusal.
Iâm sure there will be an angry tweet denouncing the EPIC lawsuit very shortlyâŚIâm sure weâre all quaking at that thought. Luckily, (hopefully?) the judge will simply ignore it. IIRC, she has a pretty good record of being an actual impartial jurist.
A shocker that someone named âAshcroftâ would be a willing toady of a Republican adminsitration. Now thatâs âwithout precedentââŚoh, wait, itâs completely unsurprising.
So, are Kobach and trump identity thieves?
Looks like it
Just another reason to IMPEACH!!
I think itâs more a logarithmic equation like the Richter scale.
So POTUS and Veep are above the law âŚagain?
Welp, so much for âequality before the lawâ
Really?
Have any contact #'s?
âEPICâ is suing the Fraud Voter Panel, something is just completely right about that.
Whomsoever calls Trounce and Kobach scumbags first in this deal wins the prize!
Just double checked. I was incorrect. Colorado will send what ever is available to the public but the Secretary of State commended the commission.
Do you think you could prohibit POTUS (not just this POTUS, but any POTUS) from saying anything that could be construed as favoring one candidate over another? Exempting him or her seems pretty reasonable, to me. They canât use appropriated funds for their political activities, but gagging them would be pretty extreme. In fact, even gagging Cabinet Secretaries seems a bit outlandish, to me. These are inherently political positions. Who are we fooling?
There are some who maintain that the entire Hatch Act is a violation of the First Amendment. Iâm not among them, but I get the argument.
Whew! Thatâs what I thought. Iâve dealt with ID theft since before it was even known as ID theft (I think).
The thought of it makes me kind of sick and the idea that my state would just give it away was unbelievable to me.
SOS Wayne WilliamsÂŽ of Colorado can praise Trumpty all he wants, he still didnât cough up the info, so its kind of like, youâre cool but eat shit and die!
ETA: donât do that to me ; )
Hereâs hoping the biggest of his stunts ends in the worst possible way, prison. The bigliest ends the worstly, or somethingâŚ
If the information was delivered by the states to the commission, and then it found itâs way into the hands of the Russian hackers, would it help the hackers to control the result of the next US elections? If so, I would be very worried about that happening.
I will say this, Jay is no John. John was a pretty good governor. That was during the time when the âreligious rightâ didnât rule the secular government.
Iâll have to take your word for it. He was a pretty terrible AG (remember him covering up a bare-breasted statue??) and a bit of a religious nut, but he and Comey did stand up to the worst schemes of the Bush criminal conspiracy. His son (who couldnât get through the Merchant Marine Academy??) seems to have gone full sycophant.
I was thinking of all the other ways trump considers himself above any and all law, not just the Hatch Act. Arrogance oozes from his pores like grease on a pig. Needles to say I had a strong dislike of trump way before his political career. But in those days he could be safely ignored. Now he has barged in and stolen my peace of mind. My dislike of that man grows by the day. Each day I wake up wondering what heâs done now. What buffoonery is afoot for today.
Yeah, I just canât wait to see the latest Twitter from the Shitter.
Itâs pretty obvious that no self-respecting state election official will cooperate with the voter suppression committee. Itâs a direct infringement upon state sovereignty over the election. Trump has found a way to unite Republicans and Democrats.
