Discussion for article #229742

This is now a thread about Elizabeth Warren. Isn’t she hot?

Laura Ingraham is an ignorant partisan hack. Why give her any space here to spout her inane provocations? Can’t stand the bitch.

Someone pointed out that most of the people who have found it impossible to vote in places like Texas were actually Republican voters because so many elderly voters don’t have valid ID any more…

If there is a FSM, it will leave a cage of pasta around her that will dry and harden and make it impossible for her to vote or make it to a mic that is connected to anything.

Isn’t Laura the conservative who had her profile up on a dating site 10 or so years ago? I think it was her anyway.

I don’t know about hot, but Warren is wicked smart and one of the most authentic progressive politicians we have in Congress today…and she drives the rightwing crazy…Now that I like.

Yep, Liz Warren is hot,

I say this as a 60 yro married hetero woman who thinks Liz has brain and mindset that will be move this country FORWARD.

If that ain’t the definition of ‘hot’, nothing is!

She is hot, by just about every figurative definition in the dictionary.

I’m subscribed to her youtube account and love watching her speak. She’s a treasure for sure.

Proof of this reprehensible twat’s flawed thinking:

“If you just sit it out election after election then you can’t care that much about the country, or you must be so uninformed that you think it’s all going fine.”

People who choose not to vote do so because they have been repeatedly shown that it simply doesn’t matter who gets elected. The government will always bend over backwards for people with money and power, while individual working class citizens get the shaft. It’s not that people don’t care, Laura, or they think things are going fine – they believe that voting is a sham. And judging from the number of dirty tricks going on across the country today, I think they have a point. I choose to vote myself, but I find it very hard to convince other people that their vote will mean something in the long run.

Fuck you Laura, the new laws are keeping people who have voted in the same precincts for 50 years or more from voting.

Please, just leave the country, you unpatriotic, batshit asshole.

Let’s be even more direct and have her say that she doesn’t want blacks, Hispanics, single women and young people to vote. I mean, if that means more right wing republicans get elected, that’s just fine with her. Who gives a shit about representative democracy? Clearly not conservatives, for all their whining about liberty and tyranny. The right gives new meaning to the word “hypocrisy” on a daily basis.

So we’re now at a place where Republicans are very openly running on a platform that involves outright voter suppression, and proudly so. Not even dog whistle. This, in addition to having no fresh or workable ideas on anything and seem only capable of incessant whining and baseless and irrational obstruction.

And they’re likely about to retake the Senate.

What the fuck is wrong with this country?

This is from the same woman that thought the popularity of the tv show 24 was a mandate that Americans support torture. “Logic” isn’t her strong point.

This is the way they muddy the waters. It’s not about people who’ve never bothered to vote. It’s about people who have voted for the past 40 or 50 years and now are facing obstacles.
