I am being completely honest when I say I can’t tell from reading this post whether it was written by a Trump-loving conservative or a Sanders-loving liberal. Not trying to attack Sanders himself but… here we are.

I like Schiff too. Funny that this piece came up because i said the same thing about Schiff this morning on Twitter – he should seriously look at Feinstein’s seat.
I think by her putting notice out there, Feinstein is signaling willingness to step down – time is here for the new guard to step up. Schiff is definitely in that category.

Agree. Feinstein should go enjoy something new. And we need a progressive who is informed and effective at communicating.
Personally, I’m jealous of MN over Al Franken. This video from 2003 shows Franken patiently eroding BillO’s composure until BillO exploded. I fear that the powers that be in the state will anoint a successor, and the only other people in the race as Democrats will be fringe kooks and politicians lower on the food chain looking for exposure and experience instead of a win. Surprise me, California. Please.

Love it. San Diego voters did the same with the Chargers. Raiders found a state with a red government that was happy to tell taxpayers a lie about what a good deal it was for the people. Chargers are somewhere near LA. I don’t really care to learn the specifics.

The Democrats have had too many selfish old farts like Ted Kennedy who refuse to accept their time is over. We need a Senator who can guarantee to be there and vote on every important issue.
DiFi would be 91 at the end of a second full term. It was disgusting when Strom KKK Thurmond did it and it won’t be any better if DiFi does the same.

I do think it’s time for senator Feinstein to go, but, if we were to follow your logic about taking all the older ones with her, Bernie Sanders has to be included in that group in order to clean the slate and open the floor for the young knowledgeable progressives you prefer.

Who the fuck is DiFi? Cousin to WiFi? Or niece to Princess Di? She’s a US Senator and deserves more respect than that. She’s probably going to be a widow before long as well since her husband has lung cancer, which accounts for thoughts of retiring. Primary her? Yeah. The Democratic Party needs more intraparty savagery.

Agreed. Bernie’s message is what will continue to resonate. And coming from a younger progressive will make a difference. The problem with the Establishment old folk politicians is they won’t make room b/c they don’t like the message.

I’ve always been proud that California has two female Senators. But, it’s time for DiFi to let someone younger step in. I haven’t always agreed with her, but never doubted she had the interests of our state at the forefront. California has a deep bench of talented Democrats whom I hope the party supports.
