Imagine if these fuckers spent HALF this much time on helping people.

TPM–I’ve rewritten the headline

KY Gov Threatens To Kill People

This ā€˜threat’ will not pass pretty much any court in the land, even the SC!

It combines the ethics of a mafia protection racket with the personal responsibility of a domestic abuser who blames his victims.
This is a new low, even for them. Not the lowest, I fear, but a new low.

I would like to agree with you, but the suffering and death this will cause prevents me.

I could see this as an argument for upholding the decision on the merits (I.e, if you can terminate the whole project, then maybe you can terminate only part of it – although not necessarily a winning argument) but as an argument to deny standing it’s pure evil. It’s like arguing that because police officers have been acquitted after killing suspects, no suits for police brutality will be allowed.

Sounds like a great plan. Judges love to be threatened and this is doubly true for Federal judges with lifetime appointments.

Most of the people who’d lose Medicaid didn’t vote. Turnout in the 2015 gubernatorial election was 30.1%. Sigh.

This is brilliant.

WTF? My way or the highway? And KY keeps electing him??? I don’t understand this mentality on either side.

He was elected in 2015 in an excruciatingly low turnout election and is up for reelection next year. He’s also only the third Republican elected governor since the 60’s. I’d like to think we’re going to do better, that this is truly an anomaly, but I don’t know anymore.

The moral devolution of the GOP continues. They now threaten the lives of thousands of people and hold them hostage to support their ideology. Do what i say, or these people suffer. How does that differ from any other terrorist organization?

He will be re-elected in a landslide because he will say ā€œJesus, Jesus, Jesusā€ over and over again. And Kim Davis will rally the Jesus vote.

You explained it all right there, having it both ways, take America back to the '50’s culture with a shrinking middle-class, no job security and union participation in single digits. And of course, the poor deserving of all their self-inflicted misery.

Attorneys for Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin (R) will tell a federal court this Friday that that the governor plans to take his ball and go home if he can’t get his way on Medicaid work requirements

We’ve already seen considerable economic legislative hostage-taking from Republicans, but Bevin’s strategy of using a few hundred thousand actual constituents as hostages to sway a court, rather than the quaint old practice of defending the new rules, deserves credit as an innovation in the way policy is ironed out in this republic.

Fingers crossed. How in the hell do you ā€˜explain’ to voters that you are taking away their healthcare because the government won’t allow you to screw them the way he wants to?

I’m not mad at all. They hated/hate, and wanted to be rid of the black man that wanted to take care of them, and voted in the people that don’t mind seeing them die. Are people still saying bye Felicia? No?

CYA CLETUS!!!
