Just traveled from Indiana across Illinois, Missouri, Kansas and Colorado and the economy is NOT good for many people. The trickle didn’t trickle down to the middle class and below.
If Kudlow is predicting the Rethugs keep the House, this means in real terms, they will ABSOLUTELY lose the House. Whatever he says will happen, you know the opposite will happen. Sweet. Thanks for confirming that, Larry.
“The great blue wall has crashed,” Kudlow told Politico
Holy mangled metaphor, Batman!
Probably not a misquote, Kudlow’s diction reflects the coherence of his thinking.
The one grave you can’t whistle past is your own.
The percentage of people over 70 in my company is growing. Older employees just won’t retire. Why? They don’t have the retirement savings they need. Now my company is a medical tech firm. We pay very good wages and have a matching 401 K. If folks who should have a comfortable retirement stashed away don’t feel all that comfortable, think about the millions on millions who don’t.
This year my stocks have been struggling mightily to recover from the February correction. They have come close but haven’t made it all the way back. That means I have made little to anything over the last 7 months. I know the market has been good lately, but not that good.
What Kudlow doesn’t understand is his good economy is only good for the very rich guys and not really all that good for them.
The good economy that Trump inherited from the 8 year Obama administration.
In 2009 Obama was handed the worst economic collapse since the Great Depression.
What did Trump inherit?
He’s right.
I’ve taken my $1.64 Trump Tax cut reward, and through wise investments, have boosted it to just south of $1.75!
Thanks, GOP!
… and Baghdad Bob says, “They’re not even [within] 100 miles [of Baghdad]. They are not in any place. They hold no place in Iraq. This is an illusion … they are trying to sell to the others an illusion.”
Oh goody, we’ll get to see yet another Kudlow prediction go down in flames…if you have watched CNBC over the years, you already know he is the consummate horse’s ass.
And when was the last time Kudlow was right about anything?
I believe the correct term for this condition is “denial”.
Shills gotta shill…
It is a real tell when a supply side crank like Kudlow is arguably the face of intelligent discourse in this dystunctional shitshow of an administration…
Maybe he tried to go Lisa Alther “The great blue ball has crashed”
Hard to feel good about the big picture “strong” economy when so many struggling Americans can’t find living wage jobs and or are losing the jobs they have as a direct result of Trump’s imperial trade wars. I’m sure wall street, bankers, CEOs, insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, electric, gas and water companies and multi-national corporate monopolies are very, very pleased that the economy is “strong”.
I think he missed the boat. Informed people know the economy is on a trajectory set in late 2012 and Trump nor any POTUS had a thing to do with it. The dollar is at .88 against the Euro but should never have been below parity other than CEO’s want it beat to make selling their crap to Europe easier. Cletus aint going to Prague and Bubba aint going to Tokyo so international exchange rates are not likely to be high on their list. And a “good economy” is only meaningful if people feel it. They don’t.
…Don’t class warfare me!
I recently had to put my dad in a memory care facility. It was a gut wrenching decision and yet the best I could’ve made. One thing I discovered while shopping around and touring different places is that my generation is well and truly fucked by 401Ks. It’s not nearly enough. Thankfully dad has this thing called a pension as well as SS, so he will be well taken care of as he ages. My generation will have to spend down their assets and go into Medicaid funded care.
Don’t I know it! My 401(k) probably has just enough in it for me to live on for 30 dang days and that’s it. Since I was unemployed for a while, my Soc Sec is also at a deficit. From the period of 2009 - 2014, I was consistently behind the proverbial 8 ball. If something isn’t done to address what is going to be a real elder disaster, young people had better get ready to take care of us to a greater extent than they realized.
Amazing how well he whistles as he walks through the graveyard…
