And Trump called Comey a “grandstander”…
You’re a clown, Rand.
I don’t understand how he dresses himself in the morning…
Now it begins.
Rand Paul to all those currently benefiting from the ACA:
GO DIE!
Oh good. Now I get to up my blood pressure meds again until this fucking vote.
Grandstanding Poodlehead will kill millions for chance to be on TeeVee.
What a surprise.
You Can’t Spell gRandstand…
Still not going through. Like I’ve been saying.
Too much wrong.
So count him in the column as desiring and ideological purge from the party and not concerned about losing the majority in the senate as a result.
The teaparty activists are already gunning to primary some of his peers. Make the senate vote - Rand - brand some peers hypocrites and let the activists kill their careers. Some teaparty leaders are even whining that the "Rinno’s should just join the democratic party.
Is he saying that as long as they get to vote on his amendment, then he’ll vote for the GOP Repeal-and Replace bill, even if the amendment fails, and even though he claims to believe the GOP Repeal and Replace bill would be just as bad as Obamacare (from his point of view) and possibly worse?
Or is he just saying he’ll vote yes on the motion to proceed as long as there is going to be a vote on his amendment, but his vote on the final bill depends on whether his amendment passes?
The latter could be interpreted as a principled stand in favor of his position, the former would be a sell-out with window dressing. So I’m guessing it’s the former.
As I’ve posted here many times, I never believed he would be the vote to block this bill, in whatever form it took.
Cave!
Arrogant little shit.
This is ALL ABOUT running for President again. ALL OF IT.
That, or he’s looked at recent voting history and he realizes that it doesn’t matter what votes they make as long as it’s more than a 90 days out from the election.
I think in all his gesticulations it is a “yes” on MTP.
Votes on bills that don’t pass or get implemented have much less consequence than votes on finished legislation.
Co-sponsoring the cash bail reform bill w/ Harris earned Paul about 15 minutes of mild warm fuzzies. Good to see we’re back to normal now.
It seems highly unlikely that McCain will be around to vote next week. So that cancels out Paul’s yes vote.
Hey CBO, it’s time to score Cruz’s amendment.
Exactly. I don’t see what difference this makes. If Collins and Capito vote against MTP, it’s dead without McCain. And what about the rightwingers from UT and KS? Will they flip also?
