Yeah, but – and no pun intended – who’s going to lead? The EU has to get involved here! There was a shitload of their citizens on that plane, and the rebels just grabbed all the bodies at gunpoint and took them away. Merkel and Cameron better jump to it, and right now!

But even more wrong.
HRC is still referred to as both Senator and Madame Secretary.
But in an unofficial capacity-- she stepped into the role of U.S. governmental mouthpiece to control the speculative narrative that would’ve progressed geometrically.
By doing so-- the U.S. let the 3 parties involved know immediately that denials were impossible.
So yeah.

Let me say though, one’s reach should exceed one’s grasp. I always found it worthwhile, even if it resulted in being bruised from time to time.
EDIT: you know TN, I should have used “behalf” which is to do it for that person whether or not that person has asked for it. Sounds more like Hillary - on “behalf” of Hillary.
Two points. One, Kerry is not going to negotiate foreign policy while talking to Candy Crowley for a few minutes or reveal any either, and two, your excessive use of !!! doesn’t make your comments any more sensible.

Well it both rings true and makes sense if one believes Hillary cutting to the front of the line was at the behest of the administration. I would believe that it was done by Hillary on behalf of Hillary.
You’d believe anything that reflected negatively on Hillary Clinton.
