Hey whaddaya know! Good for him.
Now that the Governor Matt Bevin has stroked and coddled and smooched and slobbered and powdered the bottoms of the hysterical bigoted right, self-serving public servants like this lowly creature can find some other way to disrespect and persecute diversity…perhaps a Kentucky religious freedom bill is in the offing?
Well, he finally did something right. Bless his heart. What’s the situation with Kynect now? Did he give in to Kentucky Obamacare yet?
It seems to me that the Little Sisters of the Poor need to go to Kentucky and explain that this solution still requires clerks to hand a license over to the gay couple, thus participating in their sinful behavior.
Now what about health care for the desperate?
The form would not have the clerk’s name on it.
It’s mind-boggling to me some people think this makes a difference.
How does an Almighty, all powerful God not know who let the Gays in? So if he really cares, you’re still screwed.
“Kentuckians can come together to find solutions that are inclusive and treat everyone fairly and with dignity.”

Having lived in Kentucky some years ago, and having frequently witnessed public authorities ride roughshod over members of the LGBT community, I would not have a great deal of confidence in Chris Hartman’s optimism.
Wow, it looks like Matt Bevan has changed his Tea Party tune now that he’s an adult governor with responsibilities. I’m shocked he’s done this!
Call Drudge.
RINOs in Kentucky throw religious liberty under the bus.
It shouldn’t have gone this far and I’d say that Bevin saw what’s happening in North Carolina and decided that it just isn’t worth it.
Discrimination is bad and comes with big consequences for states and their leaders.
Bevin made the right move on this one.
Kim Davis hasn’t been this upset about something since the day she was taken to jail and someone walked by from a local Metropolitan Church with a “GOD HATES HAGS!” sign and pointed at her.
Kim Davis: "Only my God can judge me!"
God: "You’re an asshole."
This “single marriage license” legitimizes masturbation, right? So … any 11-year-old can get one? This is great news to a certain, dedicated segment of the population.
Don’t let this fool you, he’s a jerk from hell. And no, he’s still stuck on screwing over kynect, cutting funding for universities, put a former coal exec in charge of environment and a whole host of other nightmares.
Sixteen years ago in civ pro we were doing a case involving married couples. I piped up with “spouse and spouse”, then later toward the end of the semester the prof uses that term too. Nice to see I’m having some sort of positive influence even on the vast washed.
He still has the dreaded (R) after his name, but I have to give him a tiny bit of credit for this move. How long before the Bible-thumpers form a mob to demand his impeachment?
