“I know what I would do if I were Mr. Pruitt, I would call a press conference tomorrow and I would say, ‘Okay let’s talk about your criticisms of me.’”

How about you hold a town hall so Louisiana voters can talk about their criticisms of you?

"it’s distracting from the business that we’re trying to do for the American people.”

The media loves this guy. His homespun way of talking and southern slang makes it seem like he is being plain spoken.

But then he never follows up his cutesy, country sayings with any action.

And they say people in California are fakes and phonies.

I think he meant to say corruption head.

This is all about the rabid base. The GOP base has been radicalized by a concerted effort since the Southern Captivity of the Republican party began with Newt becoming speaker. Palin, then Trump are natural products of this radicalization and so is Pruitt.

Kennedy and every other Republican Senator is terrified of their base and their base loves Pruitt just like they love Trump.

“Ethics matters”. Since when?

No. NOT ‘politically motivated’…Pruitt did this ALL to himself and to pretend others are to blame is so much crap. OWN it and clean up your own damn party. We’ll worry about ours.

but stopped short of suggesting Pruitt should resign,
Talk right up to the line and then wimp out.
Classified as a true double talker with no substance of soul.

A little off topic, but if deregulation has made oil and gas concerns so happy, why are my gas prices the same?
Where is the good for the overall economy? Rich-> Richer. Another swamp scam.
