Discussion: Kelli Ward Embraces 'Audience' Of Alt-Right Figure Touring With Campaign

Sally McSally (who is surely awful and Trump-craven) will win this primary because Arpaio and Ward are rightwing-crazies desperate for attention from deplorable voters. This give the yellow-canine Dem candidate a chance against McSally.

So Kelli Ward is a white nationalist, what else is new? Just another fucking Nazi.

Yep. I like Kacie Hunt but she could have been a bit stronger with that ā€œalt-rightā€ description.

If you donā€™t believe in chemtrails, how else would you explain Kelli?

Yes, technically neutral, but like ā€œregimeā€ when describing a government (as opposed to a diet or workout program), is almost always used in a shade-throwing sense. No one ever uses regime in a supportive sense, for that we use ā€œadministrationā€ or ā€œgovernmentā€.

Props to Ward, though, for the first pluralisation of ā€œilkā€ Iā€™ve ever witnessed. But can she take credit for recognising that there is more than one other type of person? Nah, sheā€™s a wingnut, therefore itā€™s just illiterate derp. She obviously canā€™t read, or she would have known who Cerno-bitch was.

ā€œIf heā€™s coming on the bus tour,"

She gets basically free advertising and access to a nation-wide network run by the moron

ā€œI think that heā€™ll have a voice and heā€™ll have something that he wants to say,ā€

He gets to go out and push the envelope in such a way that if it is not that popular, she can walk it back.

Apparently, in the US, there seems very little penalty to walking things back. trump uses that to great advantage.

Just another Republican that canā€™t vet.

They are playing to their conservative baseā€™s standard for how a woman should dress and present herself as to not be threatening to the male conservatives.

I think youā€™re giving her way too much credit here.

My thoughts exactly.

my campaign is about faith, family and freedom

Oh, so no policy or vision of governance. In that case, she forgot to mention apple pie.

Iā€™m going to go out on a limb here and speculate about her positions on those topics:

  • faith: sheā€™s 100% for it
  • family: we should definitely have families ā€“ keep your government hands off 'em!
  • freedom: OMG she loves freedom so much

If I were more cynical, Iā€™d suggest that by invoking the Three Fs, she is signaling that she favors government support for her brand of Christianity, that she is opposed to LGBTQ folks and everything except the nuclear family, and views all government regulation as an unconstitutional intrusion on individual liberty. Sheā€™s likely what some folks call a ā€œChristofascist.ā€

Thatā€™s a good one.

Iā€™m still looking for one that is smaller in size. I didnā€™t realize it wouldnā€™t post but its too big apparently.

Kasie Hunt asked about the Alt-right, Ward asked to be told who they were. The white nationalists, white supremacists and neo-nazis named themselves Alt-right when they embraced Trump and crawled out from under their rocks. Trying to be mainstream. Unfortunately our citizenry exposed its ugly underbelly when they did.

Thanks. I tried it after you mentioned it and it worked for me, too.
