He said that his 2009 law review article arguing presidents should be exempt from certain investigations was a “proposal,” not a constitutional position.

What’s the legal term? Oh, yeah, mens rea.

In my experience, when someone responds to a question with “I have an open mind”, it means they they don’t have an open mind and they are using the phrase to shut down a discussion.

Clarence Thomas - “As a Judge, you strip down…like a runner…before deciding a case…”

Samuel Alito (with wife weeping so that all could see in the seat behind him)- “I will keep an open mind…”

Neil Gorsuch- “I am still butt hurt that my Mother was fired by President Reagan for obstructing Congress on his behalf…but I promise to keep an open mind…oh yeah, I have spent my whole appellate judge career waiting for a Republican President to nominate me to this Court…”

Draped with Garlands?

Once confirmed,he will be a stalwart for every conservative case on the docket…you don’t rule on cases the same way, time after time and then magically change your MO because of a new sense of responsibility toward justice. Another disaster for America currently in the midst of a hellacious losing streak.
