WTF is this guy doing sounding reasonable? Of course, he basically just endorsed the deal, so I can’t see how this doesn’t damage him to high hell in the primary.

This is precisely why Kasich is dangerous. He says something like this, and conservative “Democrats” and the few moderate Republicans who can’t stand the thought of Trump or Carson suddenly start thinking that he might not be a wingnut conservative. He is, folks. He’d be as bad as W and his “compassionate conservatism.”

Agreed. Check his neanderthal positions on abortion, for example. But he is smooth and not insane, and therefore dangerous.

I don’t think that John has been listening.
It would be replaced with the same well planned and fully thought out programs that have been proposed as alternatives to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and the ACA.
Namely tax cuts and some type of military action.

Well maybe and maybe not. It must be coming quite clear to the other 70% of GOPer voters that they are in serious trouble and may need to support a sane candidate who can win. Kasich may be the answer to their prayers

Kasich is the ideal GOP candidate. Conservative bona fides, experience and the ability to sound reasonable.
The longer he is able to glide under the radar, the better his chances. We need to find the photos of him snorting blow off the bare chest of an underage hooker pronto.

Agreed and probably why more and more reason for the big money people to get behind him. Jeb looks like he’s on life support Trump will fall off his throne soon and the rest are just not going to cut it. He is there best possible chance against the dems

ONE GOP member. Kasich is distinguishing himself from the pack of candidates simply by surrendering to reality, but I’m not sure anyone in the party’s base has any desire to hear the truth. They appear to want a strongman.

If the DNC and prominent Dems had a clue about how to play rough, they’d take out a full page ad in the National Review, Weekly Standard, and the WSJ congratulating Kasich on his courageous stand supporting the Iran deal that President Obama and SOS Kerry negotiated. Then Obama himself would have a press conference praising Kasich for his bipartisan support for the deal. Then Kerry would go windsurfing and give a presser in his wetsuit on the beach gushing about how restrained and thoughtful Kasich is.
