Discussion for article #242378
Katich it is so sad, that your fellow GoPers felt intimidated by the questions being asked by the CNBC moderators. Letâs face it, there is no platform whereby the GoP presidential candidates will show well at all.
So, I hope you all will plan on not having anymore of these crazy and bizarre sessions!
John Kasich is right. None of the questions was outside the bounds of very reasonable, yet I think Kasich is finding that âreasonableâ isnât what GOP Primary voters are buying.
Oh, great, so he wants to be the adult in the room. Governor, Jon Huntsman is on line 2 for you to explain how that will turn out.
Kasich appears to be the only candidate willing to talk to people outside the Republican bubble. Not a winning strategy, but I give him credit for that.
Missing a chance to denounce the " 'leetist librul meedja? " An admirable, but doomed, position to take in todayâs GOTP
Interesting to see how this is breaking down as anti-Establishment vs. Establishment, isnât it? Rubio doesnât have a problem with it, either. Bush does, but its more because he got the least amount of time and he sucked. Havenât heard any serious complaints about the questions from him camp, however.
"Kasich Not Upset About CNBC Debate: Questions Werenât âBelow The Beltâ
Preaching to the choir here,Guv.
I wonder what will happen in the Presidential debates? Who will they blame? HRC took 11 hours of nonsense and turned it to her great advantage. They are going to get killed when the waves get big.
Itâs pretty hilarious to call these things debates at all. They are free-association spews.
Itâs predictable right now that HRC will win the debate with Rubio when the day comes and it wonât take more than 90 minutesâŚ
If those softball questions are regarded as âunfair, toughâ by the candidates, they are definitely cowards, cry babies, woosies. They want to be the leader of the most powerful country in the world but cannot answer those questions? Cut me a break! What a bunch of whiners, spineless cowards. This after Hillary was pummeled for 11 hours? She can take it, but their precious little egos are woundedâŚgo figure.
CNBC made the wannabes look bad because
Kasich not as scathed as the others because he didnât get as much talkinâ time.
Kasichâs chief strategist (John Weaver) served the same role in Huntsmanâs campaign (as well as McCain in 2000).
You think he would have learned.
The questions at the Fox News debate were just as silly and unsubstantial.
Bush thought it was unfair because they failed to ask questions even a moron like him could answer.
unless they can spew their prepared propaganda on sunday morning television shows unchallenged they are lost. all those sunday mornings on tv instead of in church has done them a disservice.
Kasich, youâre so close to making this work for you. What you needed to do was phrase this âI was tough enough for the debate, I donât know what those other whiners are complaining about. If they canât deal with CNBC, then they sure as hell canât deal with Hillary!â - That comment gets him noticed, this comment is just to milquetoast.
Rubio and Kasich are the best performers and debaters among this group⌠and sorry to say Cruz with his media bogeyman smoke cloud line. Rubio-Kasich think (FL-OH) would be the most formidable team among these clowns, but then again these two stand out as Lincoln and FDR given the competition.
However Hillary is still the total package with her experience, knowledge, articulation, stature and presidential presence. She would make Rubio look like a man-child as long as she does not appear condescending and smug as did Gore v. GWB.
Sure, this is a decent nod to acting like a grown-up,
and finally not blaming oneâs own many shortcomings on the mediaâŚ
but Kasich still never came through with my Taylor Swift tickets!
