Discussion for article #228616
Wasn’t Kansas one of the three states where the Governor said the state would fight to the bitter end? ~snicker~ Folded as fast as South Carolina.
They haven’t folded yet, though I wish they would. There is really no excuse for their bigotry.
The process of actually getting the ban set aside has to start somewhere… and I think this is where it’s starting in KS, quite efficiently in fact. The current state legislature won’t fold, nor Brownback… but both may be rather transformed soon, so who knows? And there’s still the process of rulings/appeals etc. that will take the issue to where the ban will be overturned eventually. There really are a lot of sane, caring, sensible people in KS, whatever you may think based on the wolves at the top and the sheep wandering lost in the wheat fields. Thank you, Judge Moriarty, for being so promptly proactive.
