Discussion: Kaepernick, 49ers Teammate Kneel During National Anthem

I completely support Colin’s quiet protest. I might not choose to do it that way myself, but good for him. And as a 49ers fan, this makes me happy:

booed in San Diego until he took the field to start the game for the 49ers, immediately leading them on a 16-play, 85-yard touchdown drive against the hometown team.

If he can be effective on the field, his teammates will give him enough space to do what he needs to do on the sidelines. The protest probably does factor in - maybe unconsciously - in the coaches’ decision on roster spots. So he’s gotta show he can do the job (and better than last year).
