After several decades of conservative resurgence in the western world, it seems to me that, at long last, the pendulum is swinging back to the liberal, progressive pole. Trudeau in Canada, Corbyn in Great Britain, Sanders here in the U.S.—I find myself hoping against hope that we might finally be refuting the ‘conservative’ disdain for government and turning the tide back toward a more compassionate and inclusive view of the role of politics and governance.
Now if Garry Trudeau can just get elected as the US President, everything would be perfect.
Why not?
The GOP is a cartoon, so why can’t the Dems run a cartoonist?
