Justice Sotomayor is an example of why the appointment of Supreme Court judges is one of the most critical factors is the upcoming election. The right’s simplistic view of society as Christians and all others, good vs. evil, us vs. them, valued vs. not worthy of consideration is untenable in a diverse, complex society. We desperately need several new thoughtful, human, humane, wise justices to join Sotomayor in the immediate future.
