Discussion: Judith Miller Accuses Journos Of Drinking Trump Kool-Aid Without Any Hint Of Irony

The headline is poorly written. Is it Judith Miller accusing without irony or is it journos drinking without irony? Actually both are probably true.

Something is wrong with the Universe when people who’ve actually paid their debt to society still can’t vote or recover all their civil rights, but this one still gets airtime to spout off after being totally discredited. And having paid virtually no price for it.

Irony is an understatement

“Miller, a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist-turned-Fox News contributor, fell from grace as a top New York Times reporter in Washington after her extensive coverage of Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction program was found to be based on faulty intelligence. Her reporting was cited by Republicans making the case for the Iraq War.”

This might well be the most misleading paragraph ever written on TPM.

Cheney: She does have a very valid point.

You’re right. We’re very sorry we acted unprofessionally. Hey, could you tell us how to get a good’s night sleep after helping to get a lot of people killed for nothing? If Trump gets elected, we’re probably going to have to know that.

All the Young American Journalists in the World.

I think they mean Miller is still Kool-Aid drunk.

IMO, Kool-Aid without a splash of irony just doesn’t taste right.

“journalist turned Fox News contributor” … that tells us everything we need to know.

She should be institutionalized, or arrested…

I approve of this headline writer without any hint of qualifications. (Sorry, I couldn’t resist.)

My thoughts exactly. I hesitate to use the word whore when referring to anyone, but Miller was a Bush administration whore who sold America a bill of goods while being paid by a respectable newspaper. She deserves nothing.

One of the most infamous media cheerleaders
of the U.S. invasion of Iraq, Judith Miller, derided young journalists
Friday for failing to critically cover the rise of presumptive
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

That lead para was very well written…nothing more needs to be said.

Fuck, Judy looks like she chews on railroad ties for breakfast.

She’s the reason I cancelled my subscription to the NYT and never looked back. She didn’t “report” on WMD. She egged on a war.
