Some kind of “extreme vetting” should have been used on this administrations’s appointees - not to mention the Republican candidate himself. After all, we’ve seen that nearly all of the migrants, asylum seekers, and would-be immigrants coming across the southern US border actually ARE “good people.” The White House and its agencies - not so much.

Amen. No one should have to defend himself/herself about not being a Prime member here - or for any other decision about voluntary support. I make my choices very carefully in terms of political and social causes I endorse and I assume you do the same.

There is another lesson in all this. Note how the Trump Administration through DOJ, DHSA, DHHS, etc are using high technology, electronic fingerprint recordings, DNA, etc, not to help people but to enslave and punish them. High tech innovations can bring increased quality of life, but in the hands of a Tyrant, they can just as easily be used to destroy freedom and democracy.

Let’s see. First, you try to contact the editor of a website (one substantial enough to be in rotation at the White House press office) in the comment section of a randomly selected story suggesting that he run a story that he has already run. Somebody (me) suggests a better way to contact him, and, rather than saying something like “Thank you,” you bizarrely conclude that “he doesn’t read his own website” and declare this as a your rationale for not supporting the site.
Subsequently you plead poverty, and several other free riders express their solidarity.
Kinda makes me dizzy.
Gosh, it took you over an hour to come up with the conclusion that I’m a freeloader cause I don’t choose to purchase a website.
I hope you aren’t a reporter for a website I allegedly don’t support simply because I choose to put my money where I choose to put it. If that’s indeed the case and you don’t understand the basics of pointed humor, well, you’d be basically stealing Josh’s money, now wouldn’t you?
If you think I, marby and zoester are freeloaders because we choose not to pay for Prime, well suffice it to say, we all disagree for about the same reason I turned down a guy going door-to-door selling steaks.

And the cluster fuck goes on. I;ll bet it’s less than 2 weeks before the ICE assholes and Trump jerks admit they have no clue how to get those kids back to their parents. That was never considered. If it was ther’d be no problem now. The kids should have been given ID that linked them to their parents. The ICE assholes claim they did that but seem to have done so in cluster fuck style. Useless shit. I think it was last week when some administration putz said “some of these kids may never be reunited with their families”. It will end up way more than some. Right now ICE and Trump are in red tape mode. Stalling. But the truth will out.
Lets think about this. A 2 year old kid is brought across the US border with mother and father. A minor offense. The kid is yanked away from the family to appease Trumpers in states that don’t border on Mexico and now may never see it’s mother or father again. Some day that kid will be 30 and still wonder where its mother is. Who she is. That is unfathomably cruel. Hopefully Mexico is on top of this and given some thought to reunification on their side of the border after the gringo cluster fuck.

Hey, I didn’t start the crap about what is a legit reason for not supporting the site. This fargo person’s first reason was his conclusion that Josh doesn’t read the comments, a conclusion he reached in response to being given a more direct way to contact him. That is not even logical. Later he pled poverty, and now it’s morphed to some gobbledygook about “pointed humor.”
Not everything is about money.
Well TPM sure as shit isn’t your website and it invited Fargo in. Have you bought a sub for someone that can’t afford one? TPM makes that available to you. I’ve done it and yet I’m not offended by someone posting that has no Prime icon. TPM can handle all that jitter jive you posted as they choose. It’s their joint.
Plus there’s that incoherence thing.
