That’s nice.
Judge should just stop the nonsense and order the execution of the bastard
It just doesn’t get much better. But maybe it will.
Well now that we’ve seen the connection between Stone and the GRU it’s time for a long distance dedication to Roger as he’s on his way to jail for the rest of his life!
She gagged him too.
The SCO’s latest filing on Stone puts Roger in a world of hurt. He’s stuck in the barrel and he’s not getting out. It’s not just 1 ‘collusion’ this week, but 2: “Certain… defendants, through a fictitious online persona they created, Guccifer 2.0, also interacted directly with Stone concerning other stolen materials…”
It gets worse for Roger, "The government related this case to the earlier indictment returned in United States v. Netyksho (GRU)…as a prosecution against a different defendant that arises from “activities which are a part of the same alleged criminal event or transaction.”
“In particular, evidence in this case was found in accounts that were subject to search warrants executed in Netyksho.” “Several of those search warrants were executed on accounts that contained Stone’s communications with Guccifer 2.0 and with Organization 1 [WIKILEAKS]”.
“…the criminal conduct alleged in Netyksho was a central focus of the congressional investigation that the defendant is alleged to have obstructed & therefore the activities underlying the crimes charged… are part of the same activities underlying the crimes charged in this case.”
His 'false statements did not arise in a vacuum: they were made in the course of an investigation into possible links between Russian individuals…, individuals associated with the dumping of materials (including Org 1 [WIKILEAKS]), and U.S. persons (including [STONE])."
Basically, the SCO is saying these are not ‘process crimes’ and Stone got swept up as a potential American co-conspirator because correspondence involving him was picked up under the same search warrants that the SCO got approved to go after GRU. This suggests to me that there was a lot more correspondence between GRU and Stone and Stone and Wikileaks than we presently know of.
Quite the Friday news dump. Trump appears to have a knack for getting people to lie for him.
And “making attorneys get attorneys …”
I recall during the campaign in 2016 Stone was “fired” by Trump for some lame reason. It was obvious that it was just to put distance between him and the Trump campaign with regard to the upcoming shenanigans.
It seems there may not have been quite enough distance.
Oh, behaaave!
Recall that Stone said he never communicated directly with Wikileaks, and that whatever he learned was from Corsi’s independent reporting or that of Randy Credico.
This document says otherwise, “Several of those search warrants were executed on accounts that contained Stone’s communications with Guccifer 2.0 and with Organization 1 [WIKILEAKS]”. It also suggests multiple communications, not just a random email here or there.
You going dooooown, beotch!
Like, GAG me with a spoon, Roger!
I don’t suppose Mueller would be interested in Stone if Stone weren’t connected to the Russia conspiracy case.
Stone left the campaign on August 8, 2015. I looked it up because it might be significant.
Music to my ears. Stone has been dirty for decades and it is sweet to see him finally getting his.
Well, she gagged him from speaking on the courthouse steps, but otherwise he’s free to speak— until he steps over the line, then I think she’ll extend the gag.
I thought it might be earlier - just too lazy to look it up. Thanks.
That doesn’t seem accurate. From the order:
Counsel for the parties and the witnesses must refrain from making statements to the media or in public settings that pose a substantial likelihood of material prejudice to this case;
That portion of the order does not mention the courthouse steps. My read (IANAL) is that this portion explicitly bars Stone from any more tours of the weekend talk shows where he shits on the case or investigators.
I assume he will violate the order this weekend.
I like this and love seeing Stone in the barrel. BUT, if I’m having trouble following the bouncing ball, I’m sure others do too. This is such s complicated story—and the careful legal language in which it is presented makes it difficult to follow, even for intensely interested people such as myself.
Mueller may not be able to provide a clear story line. The press and outlets like TPM will have to step up to the plate. They need to avoid getting tangled up in the legal weeds so as to present a clear picture that pulls all of this detail together in s a coherent whole.
A clear conspiracy to seek Russian help in the 2016 election has been hiding in plain sight since Trump asked the Russians for help during the campaign. That (and subsequent behavior by Trump, his family, and his agents) needs to be laid laid bare for all the American people to see.
