Discussion: Judge Scolds Manafort For Ghostwriting Op-Ed But Won't Punish Him

Pretty predictable behavior for guys like Manafort and Gates: pushing the boundaries of the system to see how far they can go. Good to see that the judge is snapping back at them.

Hey, if he’s coached the kid’s team before and wants to continue, let him. It’s a great way to get out, get some fresh air, meet new people, including the ones with the money and false passports…

An alleged specialist in serious international crime–if he’s not a flight risk, who is?—squarely disobeys a gag order by entering into a secret collaboration with an overseas counterpart and, by the looks of it, shows little or no remorse about it? This guy gets the benefit of the court’s indulgence? Sorry, but there’s one rule for prominent defendants and another rule for everybody else. And yet another rule for black non-prominent defendants.

Absolutely! He’s not negotiating in good faith. He’s a liar, a traitor and a crook. Why should the judge believe him? Why is he being pampered?

Bad mistake by the judge to not enforce the terms she defined for Manafort’s bail. Shows that Trump and his gang of Russian traitors can do anything they want. With a little time for Trump to appoint more white supremacists to the courts and the Neo-Nazi movement will become mainstream in the US.

Putin wins again - the Nazis are coming and Trump will greet them with a military parade and open arms!

The great US western democracy is dying. We fought and helped defeat the Nazis in WW II…fast forward to Trump, Ryan, and McConnell…none of them served! What a disaster and a disgrace!

ā€œMr. Manafort, that order applies to you, not just your attorney,ā€ U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson said, while deciding to vacate her request that his attorneys prove he didn’t violate the gag order.

What in the world is wrong with this bimbo judge?
