The whole frickin’ Trump family is demented.
A couple of days ago she was complaining about having to hire security personnel to guard her and her family against trumps goons threats but then last night in Hollywood she tried to get the audience to accept, to normalize his thuggish behavior. No more sympathy for Kelly. She helped create the atmosphere of lies and disinformation that trump rode to victory and now she can suffer the consequences.
I don’t think the plaintiffs have actually agreed to that paltry sum of money yet. They all agree or the deal is off is the way I understand it. That’s before trump then stiffs them out of even that small sum when he should have had to pay Hundreds of Millions.
Alright folks, move on, nothing to see here.
Other than the fact that Donald “the draft dodging coward” Trump again is found in a position of stealing peoples money.
The order was actually a denial of Trump’s motion for reconsideration of an earlier order, denying Trump’s motion for summary judgment and allowing the case to proceed to trial. The fact that Trump et al filed a motion for reconsideration tells us a lot about Trump’s approach to litigation. Most lawyers move for reconsideration very, very rarely because it’s usually futile and not likely to please the judge, who has already decided the case. But Trump’s lawyers are apparently instructed to run up the cost and fight to the bitter end.
After the motion for summary judgment was denied, the plaintiffs withdrew their demand for a jury trial, thus allowing the case to be decided by the judge. My read of the opinion on summary judgment is that the plaintiffs consider that they have a good shot at winning before the judge, as the judge has defined the issues in the case (which involve interpretation of somewhat arcane provisions in a membership agreement). A bench trial was held a few months ago, and the parties have submitted their proposed findings of fact and conclusions of law. All that is needed now is for the judge to rule.
And an ironclad Non Disclosure Agreement that binds each plaintiff and three generations thereafter.
If he ever does something -anything- decent, I hope I’m sitting down when I hear about it.
