At the risk of betraying extreme naivete, is this a thinkable thought? I would guess there are all kinds of norms, protections and realities of power that would seem to make charges of obstruction of justice by members of Congress extremely improbable–and yet if a President is subject to such a charge–even if the only remedy with respect to the President is mpeachment-could there not be at least a theoretical risk to Grassley, Graham, Nunes, Jordan et al with their attempts to thwart and discredit the Russia investigation? In particular I’m thinking of how selective leaks of information those worthies have received and have allowed their aides to promulgate might play into such a theoretical charge.
Thanks
