Assange must not be very confident about his prospects in court to virtually imprison himself for five years.
"“The impression I have … is that he is a man who wants to impose his
terms on the course of justice,” she said. “He appears to consider
himself above the normal rules of law and wants justice only if it goes
in his favor.”
Hmmm, now that sounds very familiar, like somebody else has the same arrogant attitude about evading justice…hmmm…who could it be?
Lawyer Mark Summers said that the 5½ years … inside the embassy were “adequate, if not severe” punishment for his actions,
For rape? Roy Moore would like a brochure on this program…
Lawyer Mark Summers said that the 5½ years Assange has spent inside the embassy were “adequate, if not severe” punishment …
… adding, “My lady, it’s also important to consider that while Julian has been brutally esconced in the lap of luxury within the embassy he has missed every performance One Direction has ever done. Every single one.”
“The impression I have … is that he is a man who wants to impose his terms on the course of justice,” she said. “He appears to consider himself above the normal rules of law and wants justice only if it goes in his favor.”
That unfortunately describes a lot of men, not just dictator, oligarchs, and wealthy bastards.
Assange suspects there is a secret U.S. grand jury indictment against him for WikiLeaks’ publication of classified documents, and that American authorities will seek his extradition. Arbuthnot rejected that contention as well.
That’s not an unreasonable paranoia considering his assistance in f*cking American’s over in the last election with Trump and Putin. But then again, with these types like Assange and Hannity, its always a special secret only they can see the truth.
Assange’s theme song…?
Why would Britain want to guarantee immunity to extradition to a Russian stooge who has advanced Trump on behalf of Putin and met with fellow Russian agent and enemy-of-the-West Farange? Now, perhaps if he were to make a deal with Mueller…
Wikileaks is an international organization. It does not engage in favoritism, as far as I can tell. Witness the published documents surrounding the US-UK project known as Weeping Angel. It is curious to know now, that the UK has decided not to reassure Assange that he can answer the “jumping bail” charges, without facing extradition to the US. It’s as simple as allowing Assange to visit the court, face the charges, and return to the embassy. Or, as simple as allowing Assange to answer the charges through video teleconferencing. Why not, UK? What is your problem?
hey, 5.5 years in club equador vs. 2 mere rapes? poor julien. how about 20 to life in leavenworth?
The real gorilla in the room is the sealed indictment from Mueller that is surely waiting for him when he sets his little criminal digits outside of his hidyhole.
