What scum. The poor Duggar girls have to cover themselves up in their sad, ugly clothes so that people like their child molester brother won’t assault them. Huckacrook and the rest of the male right wing Christianists are no better than the Islamists who blame women for being assaulted. Some day, these young women and others who have been molested by self defined Christians will stand up and speak up against the life they have had to endure because of the sick beliefs of grifters like the Duggar parents. They belong in prison for not turning in their son and keeping him away from their daughters.

If the documents were “making the rounds online” it seems pretty idiotic to destroy the originals. And since the victim is only identified as Jane Doe 1 it doesn’t make sense that privacy issues were the sole concern.

That was my thought as well, given (admittedly unsubstantiated) claims that at least one sister was a victim.
Then again in that family, the victim may have done it to protect her attacker. He’s male.

Josh Duggar allegedly committed these offenses while a 14 year-old. Two questions spring to mind:

Could the abuse in question have taken place over a longer, and possibly more recent time frame than has been portrayed by the family?

What makes a 14 year-old commit child abuse? Aren’t most abusers formerly victims of abuse themselves? I wonder who could have taught Josh his little games…
Perhaps the answers to these (and other) questions would have been found in those destroyed files.

I don’t care that she is a judge or just plays one on the TV, does a judge–out nowhere, no active case from which to make a ruling, etc.–have the authority to order anyone–police department or other–to “expunge” those records? To destroy evidence? What the fuck else are these freaky people hiding?

I’m wondering if the records actually show that Josh might be the father of one or more of his “siblings.” Seriously, say he raped his mother – hey, she is a female and her body is there for the males of the house to do with what they wish, says so right there in “The Babble” – and she got pregnant; in their world, every pre-born fetus is a blessing, right? These are sick, sick people who deliberately cut themselves off from the rest of the world in order to create their own little world by their own rules. I sincerely feel some sorrow for all of those kids, Josh included, as they are so fucked up – relating to the real world outside their own is far more than “culture shock.”
