How about giving obama the tools and money necessary to do the job.

The Congress has an Advise and Consent role when it comes to POTUS stuff. We can be sure Senator Ernst hasn’t provided any useful advice on combating ISIS. She functions in “cheap shot” mode. As for Veterans, I am one and if there’s one thing we cannot stand is patronizing crap like this woman dishes out. She’s not saying it for us. She’s saying it for her.

Makes me nuts as well - as a vet. But I must say I thought she would have outdone Palin by now but after this CPAC ‘speech’ I’m seeing Palin still out front by at least 9 lengths.
Nope, nutty as Palin. But a lot cannier, and clearly ambitious (and not in Palin’s grifter/celebrity way). And her crowd knows she believes all the nutty stuff they do, so she’ll get the same pass W did in 2000. But appearances like this will just keep the “MSM” fawning over her and blind to her nuttiness. If she can keep this up, she could be dangerous.

There is one thing that Ernst can do immediately to better the situation of veterans. Push for a return to the Military Draft. For one thing, the increased manpower pool will forever eliminate this business of overworked units and multiple deployments (which, when added to the travails of combat-related PTSD, have devastated whole cohorts of young men), according to a friend who works for the VA…
But we know that Draft legislation will be the last thing planned by BaggerPols. The resultant political re-engagement of those 19-26 years of age (along with romantic partners, siblings, friends, parents, etc.) would end the Republican Party as we know it.
“Call of Duty” is not the same thing as call TO duty, for youngsters,
