Deadly segment. And Williams didn’t do the usual Daily Show thing of having the “correspondent” lampoon what the RWNJN (Right Wing Nut Job News) is saying. She told it like it is, and I hope that bald twit’s balls shrank three sizes as a result.
Evidently he’s one Arthur Aidala, a prominent criminal lawyer from—anyone? NYC! There are macho clowns everywhere, but the macho clowns from that part of the world have a style all their own. And as deadly as Williams was, her point won’t penetrate that bald skull, because he has the Fox women as a counterpoint to support decades of indoctrination about how women pretend they don’t like that behavior but really they love it heh heh heh. The only thing the real gentleman among us can do is apologize for these guys. Absent some sort of shocking dog collar device, you won’t change them any time soon.
Change can happen. As a student at UCSD in the early 70s, the resident women were catcalled every time they left the dorms by the construction workers building new parts of the campus. Women would walk out a door opposite the building sites and walk the long way around to their destination to avoid these louts. Complaints to admin were received about like those barbies on Fox did. Fast forward 40+ years. No worker on campus would still have a job who behaved like the guys did in the 70s. Personally, I think 40+ years is a long time for that change, but at least it changed.
Gotta say, the guy with the slow clap was much creepier than the usual horn-dog stuff. He honestly thinks that’s OK? How long until some women decks him?
Yeah, I was pleased that she changed the usual format and just told it straight.
Yes. Loved the bit about smiling. I don’t know how many times I have had men say, “you are so much prettier when you smile”. Next time, I am just going to say, “I got some shit to do”.
