Congressional support so shallow you couldn’t drown a mouse in it. Sad!
I have to begrudgingly admit, I am starting to (at least a little bit) appreciate Sen. Corker.
“I have no idea who’s going to run for president in 2020 and I’m not about
to say who I will support for that, so we have no idea who’s going to
run,” Corker said. “Whether the President runs again or not is
questionable, candidly.”
“Why wouldn’t he?” CNN’s Alisyn Camerota asked.
“I don’t know, why would he?” Corker said.
These folks have blinders on. The country has never had a POTUS who has this much criminal baggage and links to organized crime. Trump and the GOP won’t politically survive this.
Shouldn’t the title of the article be something like “Rats Squeak While Running Down Mooring Lines to Pier.”
Asking a politician if he would support his party’s president in the next election is a gotcha question now? Must be right up there with “what magazines and newspapers do you read?”
Tells me, though, that they don’t want to go on the record saying they support him. Very interesting.
Shorter RonJohn: “As the stupidest Republican in Congress, I have to wait for the less-dumb ones to tell me what I’m supposed to say.”
Please try. Trumpkins will abandon you enmasse. Rojoke sux for his party as well as my state.
Sacrificial Moron. Let him bleed.
Asking a GOP Senator if he will support the incumbent GOP President in 2020 is a “gotcha question”.
Oh, they’ll all fall into line, once they’re confronted with the reality of who their primary voters are.
“I’m just not quite ready to give you an answer about that.”
Ron Johnson is a dim bulb, getting dimmer.
He managed to avoid saying “what 2020 election” and giving away his party strategy, so it’s still a win.
Rather coy little dance there, isn’t it?
However subtle, it is still a distancing from Current Occupant…
So, you know, listen, I understand the kind of ’gotcha’ question you’re engaging here. But it’s just way too early to even be talking about it.
How in the hell is it a gotcha question, Ron? The standard bearer of your party registered his 2020 campaign reelection committee on Inauguration Day, in 2017. His first day in office. If it's not too damned early for Trump to talk about it why is it too early for you to talk about it?
Can’t pardon people and obstruct investigations if you’re not President anymore though.
Or perhaps: “Rats Deny Hawsers Are Tied to Ship”.
"…you know it’s way too early to be talking about 2020,”
Can you at least give him your thoughts and prayers at this time?
That the ship is untethered might be a more apt metaphor.
