If he’s active duty, he’s not going to be making overtly political commentary about Republicans.
As far as Gramps McCain goes, he makes a sensible observation about once a month, which is more than I can say about the vast majority of Republicans.
GrandPa Mac, pushing 80, may not be aware she’s African American. Probably convinced himself his daughter in law just has a good AZ tan.

In 2008 McCain stopped a campaign rally to call out a person who was calling Obama a Muslim. I do not like his political principles,and he gets too cranky for my liking, but he is not senile, and is a fundamentally decent human being in a party that elects fewer and fewer of those these days. That the Bushes attacked him in 2000 for adopting a child of color and that he bore that gracefully tells you what you need to know about him as a human being, and the Bushes as a family of persons of low character.

McCain has adopted a child of color. He defended Obama against charges that he was a Muslim. No matter how ridiculous the charge was, he did so at risk of alienating what he had of supporters. I am astonished at all of the comments who are calling McCain racist. He is not, and never was.

Jack’s grandfather was a U.S. submarine commander in the Pacific during WWII, and his great-grandfather was a senior admiral during that war. They’re not “Old Navy,” they’re Old Navy.

I actually went to high school with Jack (Brophy College Prep Class of 2004 Go Broncos!) He’s a good guy. He’s a Republican to be sure, but he’s also a Millenial. I’d be surprised if he didn’t end up running for office someday, though I don’t think he’s necessarily gunning for that.
