Discussion: joe todd

Morning Joe is still on? Personally, I prefer Al Roker and Stephanie Abrams.

I miss Keith Olbermann’s “Worst Person in the World” segment.

Joe lacks even a molecule of empathy. A true Republican.

Joe Scarborough’s tantrum-throwing drama queen act reminds me of a wanna-be mean-girl tween.

Well, this rant affirms Joe (Mr. Ratings whore) isn’t much of a father or a man.

Man, this guy is desperate for ratings. Let me put your mind at ease, Mr. Scarborough. Nothing you can do will get you more viewers, and for good reason.

Why MSNBC keeps hanging on to Scarborough is a mystery to me. I can’t stand watching that show. Where else would an old-fashioned Republican be given the stage that MSNBC gives him? He would be unemployable nowadays. I suppose MSNBC feels sorry for him for that reason, keeps him on.

only in Joe Scarborough’s world.

He is so disingenuous. If all parents worried about their kids mindset while they were in a war zone could call up and say, “bring my kid back to a base Germany”, did so, there would be no one in the war zone. I mean, young people’s mindset, particularly young boys, is EXACTLY what the military wants… gung ho, can’t die mindset.

My parents told me, about two years into my four in the Air Force, that the AF had brainwashed me in those first few months. I bounced back to reality pretty quickly. But for a time, I was all GUNG HO!!!

He may be a father, but he is seriously out of touch with any middle-class on down reality.

Todd’s problem was talking to Scarborough like he was a reasonable person. He’s not, he’s and arrogant bitch.

What a douche! Anyone that spent even a day in the military would know that ‘Commanders’ do not take orders from civilian parents. ‘My son has a boo boo, send him home, NOW!!’ Yea

Joe Scarborough ‘jumped the shark’ long ago. Now he just another raging lunatic on the Right. MSNBC needs a new morning show and Joe needs to go work at FOX News with Karl Rove and the other kooks . . . . . .

The worst part about that was Smriky McSmirk Kristol nodding along like evil Mr. Smithers as Joe goes on his rant.

As an ex- Professor, I can say that one of the saddest things that the Right has done in the United States is that it has effectively slowed down, for people over 45, a process well along in the United States for people below that age. A process which included less overt racism, more acceptance of racial mixture and interracial marriage. A promise of diminishing the black/white schism.

TIME magazine had a bead on it. I urge as many people as possible to go to that Nov 18, 1993 issue of TIME and what TIME was projecting for this century.

Rupert Murdoch put a Halt to it. At least, for a lot of the older folks.

as if scarbro’s kids would ever be out ‘on the wire’ as the spawn of a privileged member of the political/media class. (gotta love how he’s appropriated the lingo – which i’m sure he picked up during his military service… oh wait.)

“I have a 26-year-old son, and if my son is out on the wire and he is out there with fellow troops and he is writes me up and says he hates America and he’s thinking about deserting and he’s thinking about leaving his post, I can tell you as a father of that 26-year-old or 23-year-old son, I’d say, ‘Joey, you stay the hell right there,’” Scarborough said. “I would call his commander, I would say ‘Get my son. He is not well. Get him to a military base in Germany.’ I would not say ‘Follow your conscience, son.’ I would not reach out to the voice of jihad.”

gotta give them credit, new polling is showing the public split and increasingly opposed to the transfer.

I just read that Bergdahl had left his post before but came back. Obviously it was easy to leave the post. I also read that his troop were one of the most undisciplined troops over in Afghanistan and there were two of his troops demoted. So, I think that his fellow soldiers are being disingenuous to say the least on the behavior of Bergdahl. Also, there are many who have condemned the actions of US soldiers when it comes to the behavior towards the citizens of Afghanistan. Nothing new on that, and Bergdahl’s dad’s comments are on par with many anti war people here in the US. I can name a group who are anti war who are the Amish and we would not call them traitors for their anti war sentiments. I believe that Scarborough has gone over the line, and maybe MSNBC should take a look at his contract and decide on whether it is beneficial to keep him on. As much as I dislike Todd he would be a better replacement for Joe.

All those that served can see that Joe doesn’t have any idea about the military. Except that he would like to send them into harms way

It might be my age but I am totally disgusted by the reaction to this returning POW. I watched the American people turn against Viet Nam vets and it took years to get over that pain. I never thought they would act that way again. I was wrong. Joe is an idiot who never served a day in his life. How dare he go after the parent of a POW. The American Right are weird, hateful, people and it is painful to watch.
